In March, the Jenks Society had the pleasure of meeting with Rhode Island Monthly to discuss our project and share some of our surviving artifacts.

Check out the magazine’s web gallery for some insight into the artifacts that will be on display in our installation opening May 15, and look for us in the Snapshot of Rhode Island feature at the end of the May issue.

Raina Belleau, a member of the Jenks Society for Lost Museums and a Sculpture MFA at RISD, created this incredible work of art for our upcoming installation.

The opportunity to work with RI Monthly also yielded unexpected returns. After the shoot, Howard Chu approached us about additional opportunities to work with the Jenks Society. By a stroke of luck, or perhaps a twist of fate, we did, indeed, require a talented photographer to shoot artwork for our catalog. Check out Howard Chu’s blog for a lovely preview of the work he did for us.

We owe the magazine and Howard tremendous gratitude for the wonderful press and incredible photography. Thanks everyone!
